Frequently Asked Questions

˙
  • What are my payment options?

    Expand white line

Course deposits must be paid to our administrative centre. Credit/debit card payments are the fastest and cheapest way to pay, but we also accept payments via Western Union, PayPal, and bank transfer. While there are no deadlines for a deposit, courses can fill up quickly and your seat will only be reserved after the deposit has been paid.

Once you make your deposit, you will receive an email with an informational packet that provides detailed information about the course and Siem Reap itself.

It is possible to pay the balance of the course fees on the day the course starts but only by bank transfer or cash.

Course fees are all-inclusive, so you will not be asked to pay additional costs for course related materials or services. This also includes course moderation, and accreditation fees.

  • What is the course schedule?

    Expand white line

The course begins on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. with the first class and orientation session. The full course schedule will also be made available on Monday morning. Course sessions generally run between 09:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with appropriate breaks throughout the day.

Trainees are expected to attend all input and other sessions included on the schedule unless they are sick and require medical treatment. This is particularly important for teaching practice. It is exceedingly difficult to arrange alternate times.

    ◦ Complete training of future teachers.
    ◦ Small classes of 10 max - to ensure individual attention.
    ◦ Individual coaching where needed.
    d) Who I help:
    ◦ Age is no barrier.
    ◦ Occupation & background not important.
    ◦ What you need is the right attitude and determination.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Expand white line

For all input and tutorial sessions at the training location, there are no specific dress requirements. We simply ask that you are mindful of your peers/students and be respectful of the fact that you are a visitor in another country. During Teaching Practice, however, there are specific dress requirements that adhere to the local working culture and basic ideas of professionalism. All trainees are expected to dress “casually smart” according to the following guidelines:

    • Women: Shoulders should be covered. Very thin straps or tank tops are not allowed. No low-cut necklines or very short skirts. Bare midriffs must not be visible, even when lifting arms up.
    • Men: Long pants, slacks or trousers are required (preferably black), jeans are not acceptable. Short or long-sleeved shirts with a collar are necessary, a tie is recommended.
    • Loafers or dress shoes are both fine, sandals are not acceptable.
    • Long hair should always be tied back.
    • No visible tattoos or facial piercings are allowed.

  • What should I bring for course studies?

    Expand white line

Please make sure that you bring a pen and some notebooks for taking notes during the TEFL course. Otherwise, all the forms and instructions you need will be provided by us, including notes from the input sessions.
