The researched based design of the TESOL Diploma course requires use of the internet and other resources to explore and build your own understanding of a wide variety of interesting topics. The modules that make up the course cover many relevant subjects including the historical development of English language teaching, different approaches to course syllabus design, designing classroom materials, student assessment strategies, and classroom management.

This course is available either with or without the expert guidance and support of an online tutor. This decision is completely yours, although we would recommend the tutored option for anyone who has little experience of independent study. Whichever choice you make, we are confident that our TESOL Diploma course will prove to be both interesting and stimulating, as well as a valuable addition to your CV/résumé.

If you are looking for a full range of qualifications to give you the widest choice of teaching jobs, you might want to take a look at our 470-hour Professional Package and our 550-hour Expert Package. These convenient packages both include the 120-hour TESOL certification course, the 50-hour course in teaching business English (CTBE), the 50-hour course in teaching English to young learners (CTEYL), and the 250-hour TESOL Diploma. If you choose the Expert Package you will also get the 50-hour course in teaching English online (CTEO) and a 30-hour certificate of teaching practice recognition (CTPR).

With either package you can choose whether to receive the support of an online tutor, and whether to receive individual certificates (four for the Professional Package or six for the Expert Package), or a single 470/550-hour certificate that covers all components of your package.
