TESOL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - TEFL Video Journal - Week 3
In this video Ben shares his thoughts and experiences at the end of the third week of his four week TEFL/TESOL course in Phuket Thailand. He talks about some of the course assessment components as well as his teaching practice work with the local Thai students.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
I have to admit doing written assignments is often neglected. Whenever I ask my students what is their least favourite and most challenging part of language learning they usually reply - writing. Besides, these days fewer and fewer people write anything. Therefore, in order to master appropriate spelling, punctuation, register and even penmanship a teacher should pay close attention to this productive skill. On the other hand, speaking is the most desired and expected part of every lesson. To some extent it is associated with a measurable progress which a student makes and that is why teachers favor this skill.
