What is an ESL teacher?

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

this unit went over vocabulary grammar and how we can apply esa methods to introduce new language with boomerang or patchwork esa structures gone over in unit 3. it was a shorter unit but it got straight to the point with easy examplesIn this unit, I was able to practice lesson planning. The reading included great examples of how to plan a lesson, as well as tips on how to do it efficiently. It was extremely helpful to see the ESA method in terms of lesson planning. There is a wide variance of English language learners and ways to approach teaching them. A good teacher should be adaptable and able to incorporate all students, despite ability, background, or interest, into lessons to be successful.
