This units reflection covers the topic of teaching special groups. There are different methodology and techniques depending on the groups being taught. Beginners require certain techniques and it is important to recognize possible problems. Another area of growth in the ESL industry is teaching individual students and it is useful to know some suggestions of activities and the the need to consider the limitation of the individual student when it comes to homework. It was useful to consider the differences when teaching children and also business English. With the growing demand for English there also is more demand for English for Special Purposes and the content of this unit can be adapted to that special purpose using suggestions such as need analysis and suggestions from Business English.
