TESOL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Joe Granville
In this TEFL review video Joe from England describes his experience during his four week TESOL/TEFL course in Chiang Mai, Thailand. ITTT regularly has special offers when you sign up for our four week training course. We often offer one of our specialized online courses free of charge. The free course can be taken up on successful completion of the four week course. The free options can include our Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners, our Certificate in Teaching Business English or our TEFL Diploma course.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
Authentic materials are good and very useful. Newspaper article, recording of a radio interview, menu from a local restaurant and other authentic materials can motivate the students. Created materials are also good because they can be graded for language level, they provide a tried and tested syllabus, they are always up-to-date and topical but overuse can make the lesson predictable and they can make teachers less creative.Course books are often outdated or not relevant to the specific interests of the class. They can be targeted to specific teaching aims and they can be adapted to the needs of the students.
