This course has helped me gain the basic building blocks for teaching a english as a second language. I do think experience is the only one true teacher but this has prepared me even more for problems that may arise during my teaching career or positions. It has also gotten me to evaluate my own expectations for the class room, and how to better prepare myself to make adjustments to those expectations without getting frustrated. The best asset that a teacher has is to prepared for the unexpected, be a leader and to help your students gain as much as they can from their learning experience with you.

I have learned that every student is different and every teaching situation may be different. I have to be able to recognize those differences and adjust to make sure that all of my students gain something from my teaching.
