By taking this course, I have gained many insights and knowledge on english language teaching. The engage, study, activate stage plan was one of the most memorable and most valuable concepts throughout the course. The ESA process and the lesson plan templates have helped me gain some confidence in creating and planning lessons for the classroom. The lessons on grammar and tenses have really helped me get back up to speed on things I have learned over a decade ago but have, like many people, forgotten over the years. The lesson showing the video and the differences between teaching style and attitude have given me great insight and will remind me to pay attention to that while I am in the classroom. With this knowledge, it has given me a solid foundation in which to build on my teaching skills. I am planning to use this information for when I go overseas to teach english in South korea to elementary students.
