From this course, I have gained a further appreciation for the career I've chosen, and developed my skills in organizing and planning lessons. It was profitable for me to review the grammar points that were covered, and to practice finding activities that would help students practice them in the classroom. As I have been teaching english in thailand for six years, many of the lessons in the course discussed concepts and methodologies that were already familiar to me, but it was very helpful to have everything laid out in an organized manner and I know I will make use of the worksheets and lesson plans I created to assist me in the future. I teach 21 hours a week at a university, mostly basic english and literature classes, and 6 hours a week of conversational english at a language school, so I'll have plenty of opportunities to put what I've learned into practice! Receiving a certification will help me to progress in my career as a teacher, and open up further job markets to me should I decide to change locations. I very much appreciate the opportunity to learn more about TEFL and I want to challenge myself to put what I've studied into practice in my classroom.
