This lesson covered many different approaches and techniques to utilize in English instruction. It also broke down sequences which can be used--for example, there is a common pattern of engage, study, then activate. It is important to provide a structure to student's lessons which is conducive to learning and also encourages students to utilize new information they have used. It is very important to give feedback to students, but also be encouraging so they are motivated to participate. This unit also covered many examples of exercises and activities that can be done in class, for example, alphabet relay, word linking, pictionary. These are engaging and fun ways to teach new material and activate past learned material.
