Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

The content of this unit was very interesting. Starting with classroom management, the use of our eyes, voice, gesture, how this works in the classroom environment as the teacher. You often don't think how you use gestures can be such a good thing. I know understand the importance of good eye contact, the use of my voice and suing gestures to convey meaning. Understanding the class setup, whether to go with a whole class, individuals or pair works each having positives and negatives. So depending on the lesson will decide which method is best or a combination of all three. I thought it was very interesting to read about the use of student's names. I have used the student name first not last. This is a good point. Classroom arrangement is also an important area depending on a few factors which I didn't understand the impact it would have on the students, the overall classroom atmosphere and general classroom control. The different seating arrangements also have advantages and disadvantages which could be an issue if the room I am using doesn't allow for different arrangements. Good points for writing on the board. I have seen other trainers put up butchers paper around the room or on a clipboard rather than write on the board. I have taken note of reducing teacher talk time as I could see this might be an issue for me and I have seen this with other trainers not doing the right thing. I feel a big thing is the rapport with the students, they need to trust you, know that you will do the right thing by them. Without this rapport, the students might as well not be in the class. Discipline is an area that I am concerned about but the unit present some great strategies to help control/manage any issues in this area. Overall the unit was very interesting with some great takeaways.
