The lesson is about teaching groups and individuals. I have taught in the individual setting and I learned a few tips and tricks that I had not used. I do remember that some adult students would be tired after a long day at work and might not want to go through such a structured book lesson. They probably had structure all day. This lesson helped me see deeper into this. I have also taught small groups of kids. I often single out a child to give output. Some strong performers enjoy this. However, the weaker students become stressed and shutdown. I did this as well when I was in elementary school. I need to come up with alternative ways to get the weaker and shy students to participate more effectively. This is something to think about.
