This course has taught me a lot about what I didn’t know about the english language. As a native speaker, I feel it’s common to not understand all the nuances that make learning english so difficult, let alone the firm grammar “rules”, etc., that can easily trip up a new learner. By learning what I didn’t know, I am better prepared to teach this information to non-native english speakers. I am also glad to have such rich resources should I ever need a refresher or help within my forthcoming teach career. I’ve learned a lot about what it means to actually teach the english language as well. It’s more than just passing out worksheets and writing new vocab words on the board. It means that you have to spend time getting to know your students and working with them so that they achieve greatness in their english study. I feel fully prepared to brave the world of EFL teaching after this course!
