In this unit on Troubleshooting I learned various solutions to various problems that may arise in the classroom setting. For example for first lessons, I learned that during this lesson it is important to build rapport among the students and avoid using the textbook during this time. I also learned how to deal with classes that have different levels of students and to encourage pairing stronger students with weaker ones. In cases of large classes, I learned that group or pair work along with choral repetition will work very well, and that group dynamics maybe essential to the overall tone of the class. And finally, I learned how to deal with reluctant students, by encouraging a safe environment for them in the classroom along with using plenty of pair work and role playing.
