Really useful unit. I enjoyed studying good vs bad teaching and the various mistakes which can be made, especially with regard to disrespecting students and their learning. The overall attitude of the teacher is so important as students' first impression will effect how responsive they are during the lesson. How the teacher plans the lesson is also important, particularly with regard to being prepared (and not consistently checking their plan) and their varied and flexible approach throughout. It was clear to see that the students' were far more open to learning when they weren't fearful of being called out for being wrong. I did note however, that even on the second video, there were some things I might have done differently. For example, writing the aim of the lesson on the board and asking for feedback at the end of the lesson to whether everything was understood. I would also consider adding in a quiz on how much was remembered from the previous lesson.
