This unit gave brief overviews of some special groups that may be taught including beginners, individual students, children, ESP, monolingual, and multilingual groups. It covered what each of these is, some of the challenges and advantages of each, and some strategies to best teach each. This unit was very helpful to me as it gave a clearer idea of some of the things I could do in each of these situations, so I will be able to better plan for and tailor my teaching to each of these different groups using the information in this unit.
