In this unit we went over the complicated present tenses in English. I have learned the more subtle ins and outs of present tense usage in English, such as the present perfect continuous and how it is used to describe actions that are incomplete or ongoing when wanting to say how long it has continued. I have also learned of many of the common errors that English learners are likely to make, such as when trying to form the present perfect tense and using verbs that are exceptions to the formation rule of "verb + 'ed'" (eaten, written, ran, gone". There were a number of activities listed for the activate stage to help students form these tenses correctly in the affirmative, negative and question forms, such as "A day in the life" where students are prompted by a visual character and must use the present simple to describe what they are doing during there regular day. I feel this was a very well laid out unit, going over the description of it, the formation and usages, followed by common errors and then activities and ideas for how to give activities.
