This unit was more directly related to lesson planning and language acquisition in practice. It demonstrated the different stages of in-class language learning and went through various lesson plan outlines. In an individual lesson, there must be an engage, study, and activate phase, and the unit gave amazing suggestions for each section. That being said, the order and frequency of each phase is up to the teacher's discretion, and depends largely on student need. The unit also started with several different language teaching techniques and, while they were very different, each had its pros and cons and the teaching of a language is more of an art than a science (altho there are key standards to uphold such as the students should be speaking (and exposed to) the language as much as possible and teachers should help students discover the language as opposed to memorize).
