This unit focused on how to teach vocabulary, grammatical structures and the functions of language to students. This unit was particularly helpful for me in regards to understanding how to go about selecting vocabulary to teach. In many of the Spanish classes I took in high school, we were provided vocabulary that was not going to be used on a frequent basis, thus proving to be not helpful in learning the language. Having a criteria set for how to choose vocabulary will prove to be very useful for me as a teacher.
