During this lesson we explored various methodologies, theories, and techniques for teaching. There was a large emphasis placed on the ESA method: which means to engage, study, and activate language study. We reviewed various teaching methods and discussed that one particular style is neither correct nor incorrect and their applications will be varied depending on the culture, age, and language proficiency level of your students. Even the ESA method is not necessarily always the sample and can be used as Straight Arrow, Boomerang, or Patchwork methods.
