This unit covered the types of conditional speech, their structure and their usage. For example, the zero conditional is formed with "if + present, present". It is used to covey certainties like "If you freeze water, it will turn to ice". I found this useful, because as a native speaker I have an intuitive understanding of conditional speech but am better equipped to teach it after studying the classifications and rules. Furthermore, this unit went into detail on reported speech and the changes we as speakers of English make to statements when reporting them.
