In this Unit, I learnt about the various ways in which a classroom environment can be managed. This unit provides advice on maintaining discipline, establishing rapport, giving instructions, individual attention, the balance between TTT and STT, student grouping and classroom arrangement and gesturing, eye-contact and voice usage. The unit did a great job in summing up the purpose and benefits of various techniques along with the pros and cons of individual vs pair vs group work arrangements. I personally found the tips on what not to do to avoid problem behavior and to establish rapport to be the most useful aspects of this unit.
