This unit studies the classification of words in the English language, it centers on purpose and meaning of words which the unit refers to as 'parts of speech'. This unit covers the types of nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, Gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions that exist in the English language. I thoroughly enjoyed this unit as although giving a brief overview of these parts of speech, i feel that it provides essential knowledge on the building blocks of the English language. In addition the unit also gives handy advice and tips on how to convey this information to ESL learners which i believe is highly valuable.
