The deeper understanding of tenses has been a mystery to me until now. I have not studied tenses in this depth as a native learner of English. It is enlightening to see the logic that applies and the deeper learning. It is challenging. Understanding that their are 'rules' to English, three forms - present, past and future and then four forms of this, is new, challenging and interesting. I have gained a deeper knowledge, and a more formulaic understanding of sentence structure. The video learning has been key to supporting the understanding I know have. The message of, focusing on the structure, rather than the usage is key. I find, that as I write, I am now looking more closely at identifying the parts of speech and usage of present tense.
