I have learned a lot about the different methodologies. I now know hoe the ESA methodology works. First it is the Engage stage where you play games and use music with the students to get them relaxed and thinking in English. Secondly it is the study phase, where I as the teacher will be doing board work and proceed with the actual teaching of the lesson. At this stage the students will have worksheets to do. In the last stage, the activate stage, the students will do activities where they take the new knowledge they just learnt and use it in a realistic context. I also learned that you should also make use of the Boomerang and the Patchwork ESA to keep the lesson interesting and not predictable.
