Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit consists of two videos. Each video is of a class where the teacher is teaching the same language point, but one class is significantly better. The first video immediately shows some problems with the teacher's technique. The teacher's attitude seems rushing, often unprepared or confused, impatient, mumbles to himself and speaks quickly. The teacher begins the study phase with a lesson on the board, and uses difficult words like necessary which are confusing. It is clear from the students' responses that they don't understand, and the teacher acts impatient. This state of confusion seems to last through the lesson, and when he passes out the worksheet, the teacher does not offer an explanation and tells the students to figure it out themselves and do it quickly. He does not allow the students to work together to practice speaking. He closes the class with a game which, once again, he does not explain to the students. There is no example and they are all confused. Lesson two was very different in atmosphere and effectiveness. The teacher's attitude was much different. He engaged individual students, spoke clearly and slowly, and made sure the students were following the lesson. He seemed more supportive and friendly. When it came time to study, the teacher let the students work together to practice speaking. He seemed interested in checking on them and making sure they understood the lesson. There are many examples of effective and ineffective teaching in these two videos. A good teacher can practice their technique and always improve their teaching. Even the teacher's attitude or friendliness can affect students' ability to learn. Every little thing counts in the classroom.
