Speaking and writing are important components of language learning and whereas most people tend to emphasize the oral aspects it is necessary to balance this with written work. I learned that written work should to be confined to homework exercises. This unit gave many helpful suggestions for activities which include a written component and games. Having lived in Thailand where the script is not Latin and where no punctuation is used at all, I can appreciate how difficult forming our letter shapes can be.
