This unit focuses on outlining the attributes, roles and responsibilities of teachers and students. Enthusiastic, sensitive, motivated and caring teachers are stated to most likely gain higher student adherence to classes (page 10; paragraph 1). A student’s desire to learn, listen and ask questions can influence their educational success (page 6; paragraph 1). I learned a teacher can obtain multiple roles including manager, organiser, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model and monitor, in one lesson. I was able to reflect upon the cultural differences that can affect a teacher and student relationship. Being aware that each student may have different needs to others was another point I have to consider. I was not familiar with 6 language levels in ‘The Common European Framework’, but it was summarised concisely within this unit.
