This unit is extremely important since it shows real class scenarios and two very different ways of teaching. The videos in this unit are confirmation of how teacher's attitude can influence students' participation in class. In the first video, the teacher was not fully engaged in what he was doing. He often shuffled through his papers with confusion and he even checked his phone. The teacher had obviously no structured plan prepared. He didn't learn his students' names and he intimidated the ones who answered incorrectly. He simply acted as a person who would demotivate any student from learning a new language. On the other hand, the second video provided us with much more positive teaching scenario. The teacher seemed prepared, he had his resources at hand, he learnt his students' names and smiled at them. He didn't intimidate anybody and accepted any answer. He correctly used apostrophes when modelling his examples, he was more patient and positive. He used enough activities for students to practice, get involved and have fun.
