This course has been a challenging, yet warm encounter that invited me into the world of teaching english. Before this course I did not know how to go by in teaching. I was lost and I needed direction. By choosing this tefl course I knew that I was on the path to success.
This TEFL course taught me many things that are essential to know in the classroom. A few things that stand out are how to approach students in the classroom and how to handle a situation when things get out of hand. This course has taught me that there is more than one type of learner and that I should approach them differently.
For myself, I took this english course to improve my own english so that I could feel much more confident in explaining the many aspects of the english language to non-native speakers. I don’t have to say “I am only a native speaker of english” but I could say “I am a native speaker of english with TEFL training”. That means so much to me because I know in the near future that I will land a job teaching english because of this course!
