This unit was particularly useful for me because I have always been intimidated by the idea of a lesson plan. Seeing it broken with examples and advice made it much less intimidating. The way lesson plans work and how to set them up makes much more sense now. This unit was a great insight to the uses of course books, as where I used to teach, they made us use the material prepared by them. I could tell my students at the time where getting tired of coming to our lesson and repeating and drilling the same material. This unit covered modal verbs, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. I was already very familiar with modal verbs and passive voice but phrasal verbs were a new concept to me. I had a hard time understanding the difference between Type 1 and Type 3 phrasal verbs.
