This unit focuses on how to teach new language. It goes of why one might decide upon specific vocabulary and such and what might contribute to the difficult for a student, who is trying to learn new vocabulary or grammatical structures. I feel that I have built upon my knowledge of ESA lessons and I now have a better idea of how to keep explanations on track, rather than giving unnecessary information, which may be interesting but irrelevant to the students. For example, while etymology is interesting, it does not generally impact the students' learning of a new word. I imagine the only time such a thing would be relevant is perhaps to explain why words that come from Greek take a certain plural ending, etc, so that students could remember the plural rule for those specific words.
