This unit covers classroom management skills. It was a good review including how a teacher uses eye contact, gestures and the voice, grouping students, classroom arrangement, writing on the board, giving individual attention, teacher talk time versus student talk time, giving instructions, establishing rapport, and maintaining discipline. The unit breaks down each of these segments giving examples, pros and cons, and explanations for the use of each. This is a very important unit, because if a teacher does not maintain classroom management, a lot of opportunities for effective teaching will be lost.
