In this unit I learned a lot about the importance of being aware of your students needs, experiences, and language level in order to best support their learning. Being an English language teacher is not a "one-size-fits-all model" but rather it is important to tailor your teaching to what is necessary for optimal learning. There are many different approaches in a classroom and it is important to keep them all in mind if you want your students to stay engaged.
