In this lesson there are a few parts that stood out to me as the most important. The first would be making sure as a teacher you are more focused on your students learning than how you are teaching. It's very easy to be focused on the lessons you are planning and making sure you are moving forward in the appropriate time frame, and not watching for how your kids are learning or if they are succeeding and moving at the appropriate pace for their learning styles. With this, comes being able to motivate your learners, caring for them, being patient, and making sure you are attending to each learner equally. The second thing that sticks out to me is the difference between teaching younger learners and adults. Here is where it is easier to find which age group you are more fit to work with, depending on your skills in preparing lessons, social skills, and also your skills with discipline. Lastly I would say something that sticks out to me would be the motivation differences that people have for learning English and how you have to learn those motivations from the beginning in order to make sure you are teaching them and equipping them with the right learning materials to achieve the goals they have set to meet their final goal!
