In this unit, we learned the different skills of reading and listening. With regard to the teaching, it gives us a general idea of how to teach receptive skills and it is great that an outline of typical receptive skills lesson is included to give me a better understanding. In addition, choosing texts is very important and I feel that I need to read more about the Authentic materials to accumulate the knowledge and better equip me for reading. Moreover, to be comfortable for listening and reading, students do need to understand each and every word. It is also important for me to get rid of that idea of knowing each work. I will stress this important point to my students in the future.
