When it comes to classroom management, younger learners’ lessons can be troublesome as most of the time they learn through play and language acquisition isn’t always obvious however, when using the right gestures, correct tone of voice at the necessary time and repeating both the gestures and the target phrase, sentence, etc. are the key points to keep the lessons lively as well as useful.
In teaching both older groups and young ones, I prefer pair works and group works as it gives the students chance to communicate with a person whose English level is more or less the same as their own (which, in my experience, makes them feel more confident) and also gives me the chance to observe the students.
In this unit, I realized I can actually change the seating plan as I introduce new topic and keep the students engaged.
