Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

Stepping away from the material and back to teaching theory, this unit discussed the importance of classroom management by listing the different factors, and how to accommodate for each one. There is an emphasis on engaging the students, by being an invested teacher, and eliciting participation from students. This requires the teacher to be aware of their eye contact, gesture, voice, and knowing the students' names. How students are grouped during lessons depends on what kind of activities their doing, and the class size. Whole class grouping emphasizes Teacher Talk Time, which should be kept too a minimum, but without disregarding its vital functionality. Although students independently working should be used at time, grouping is more necessary for teaching English since it encourages students to practice the language with other students, especially for students who are stressed by having to participate with the whole class. The desk arrangement will usually be changed according to the type of grouping being made and the class size. A teach must be aware of their position depending on what kind of activity is being done. Standing usually enforces more control over the class, while sitting usually creates a more relaxed setting for the students. Grouping will also affect the ability to give students individual attention. On a final note, rapport and discipline are two opposite tools that encourage students to participate by providing an enjoyable classroom experience and by avoiding behavioral problems, respectively.
