This unit covered how the teacher should plan lessons and why. It includes the important functions of a lesson plan such as 1) an aid to planning, 2) a working document and 3) a record. This unit also mentions the basic principles of lesson planning and some tips to make our lesson goes smoothly. This unit also explains the sections that should be included in a lesson plan. Those are: teacher's name, observer, date and time, class level, room, expected number of students, language point, learner objectives, personal items, anticipated problems for students and for teacher, procedure, phase, timing, and interaction. Although, a lesson plan may varies according to the requirements of each academic institution, this unit was very useful to keep in mind what are the essentials when creating a lesson plan.
