In Unit 5: Managing Class it talked about how the personality of the teacher and class/ seating arrangement can influence the positive and negative effects of the students' behavior. Ensuring for optimal success of a lesson or activity can be done by learning student personality and knowledge level. How the students are set up during this time can also help to prevent behavior problems. This unit talked about how important the teacher's gesture, voice and eye contact can provide not only positive cues for student encouragement but can also create a more hostile setting if not done correctly.
