This unit provided helpful tips for how to deal with particular classroom challenges, such as mixed-level groupings of students, repeated lapsing back into the mother tongue, and large classrooms. Much of the advice in this chapter was focused on how to build rapport with students and build their confidence in the classroom. I found the ideas for what to do with quick learners and finishers most useful from this chapter: having extra activities or longer activities that challenge the stronger students during the lesson seems like a very good idea.
