From this unit, I learned the basic forms and usages of present tenses including present simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. I found it especially helpful to consider the usages of these tenses, reflecting on the logic underlying what has become second nature to me. The overview of typical student errors rang true to me in that I have experienced some of these errors in conversations with new English language learners. The samples provided to teach these tenses in the "activate" stage of learning were helpful in that they sought to correct or obviate potential student errors in a fun way that is applicable to daily use and conversation.
