In this unit I have learned what makes a good teacher and about the different roles a teacher has to play depending on the type of Learner he/she has. One of the most important roles as a teacher is to be the Organizer. They need to structure the class and organize various activities. I have learned that there are many different type of Learners. They not only differentiate by level but also by age, learning experience, motivation, nervousness and their life experiences. I have also learned that culture plays in a role in teaching English as a foreign language. Latin American cultures, for example, might be more expressive during class discussion, whereas, Asians, for example, may be more focused and more reserved. All in all, a teacher and the relationship he/she creates with the learner is crucial to allow Learners to blossom and be successful!
