This unit gave two video examples of actual lessons being taught to the same students by the same teacher. One lesson was effective while the other was not. The main point I took away from this unit was the power of a teacher’s attitude on the effectiveness of the lesson. In one lesson, the teacher clearly did not want to be there and was not enjoying himself. In this lesson the students did not learn. In the other lesson, the teacher was enthusiastic and showed an interest in his students. In this lesson the students were engaged in the material and the lesson was significantly more effective.
