With so many different approaches and methods it can be rather difficult to decide which is best to use. Of course my personality, students' culture and their needs will play a part in my decision of which methodology is best for my lessons. This unit summarizes methods and techniques, along with best description, and tries to figure out which one produces best results. It is introduced an effective method by Jeremy Harmer, where he called 'ESA' - Engage, Study and Activate. Also there are some examples of ESA lessons, like 'Straight Arrow', 'Boomerang' and 'Patchwork', where I could fully understand the idea of ESA lessons and their structures. I was interested to know new ideas for Engage, Study and Activate phases, and I am sure my students will enjoy using them during our lessons. In addition, I've learned the aim of giving feedback is to encourage self-awareness and improvement, moreover that praising the students is equally as important as correcting, if not more so.
