This unit provided information on structuring lessons around vocabulary, grammar, and functions. It provided several strong examples on how to use "straight arrow", "boomerang", and "patchwork" styles of the ESA format. I was very inspired by the earlier section in the unit, where they expand on what students need to know about a vocabulary before using it. The things mentioned were: meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling, and pronunciation. The repetition of the ESA framework is very well done, in my opinion. Each chapter builds on my awareness and usage of the structure, especially as the task sheets get more challenging with each unit.
