This unit discussed planning lessons. Planning lessons is very useful and important, especially for the sake of organization and record-keeping. At the same time, it's also important to be flexible and responsive. The teacher should not be too rigid in attempting to stick to the lesson plan. Instead, it is useful to adapt to the class and how the lesson ends up going. The unit also noted that teacher's should set goals for both the students and themselves. These goals give everyone something to aim for and aid in the process of checking progress over time.
