This unit was about evaluation and testing. There are a variety of ways to evaluate the progress of your students, some of which have a specific focus such as business. The placement tests are designed to enable teachers to place new students into the correct class according to their language ability. Progress tests should be used periodically to gauge what langue has been remembered and what language was forgotten. This i useful to let teachers know what language needs to be worked on more. Diagnostic tests are similar to placement tests, but are more extensive. They are given at the start of the course to see what students already know, and to help the teacher see what the students already know and to help the teacher prepare lessons and materials for the students. Practice tests follow the format and structure of the external examinations.
