The most valuable thing I’ve gained from this course is lesson planning. I’ve never planned any of my lessons before. I thought lesson planning was a waste of time. Now I plan to use a lesson plan for most of my classes. I’ve learned how to use the course book and real material to their greatest effect. I will not rely too much on the course book and use more real material in the classroom. Finally, I’ve learned not to use the student’s native language too much during the lesson. I plan to only use the student’s native language only when necessary.
