In this last look at grammar, we cover modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. Modals are an intermediate form of grammar that need to be understood well but I think that the rules are straightforward and can be taught methodically using the rules and charts with good examples and feedback from the teacher. Grasping the meaning and understanding how to use relative clauses as well as the passive voice is also a challenge and needs to be considered well by the teacher. It would be pointless to just go on trying to teach all of these grammar areas if the students are struggling with it and I would recommend providing good examples as well as feedback to the students' individual efforts.
